Cave Drawings Link Kurca to David Cook
MURFREESBORO, Tennessee – An amateur spelunking group started out last
week on what they thought was a routine cave charting expedition. What they
discovered inside an unnamed cave in rural Pickett County had the group's
members scratching their heads to find meaning on what they discovered on
the cave's walls.
Past the narrow passage into the cave and just out of the light of day, wall
scratchings revealed what appears to be another link to the emerging story
in the rise of the Kurca. Wreaking a path of destruction across the Eastern
half of the United States, the Kurca's wall scratches tell a story of what
might be planned next: a clash with American Idol winner David Cook.
Expedition leader Anderson Pasco described the group's initial reaction.
"When the light first shined on the wall, we all went kind of went wow,"
said Pasco. "There are guys in our group that have been spelunking for
twenty, thirty years - and they've never seen anything like this. Never."
Upon discovering their find, the group contacted Professor of Archeology at
Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU), Terrance Broderick who visited the
site with Pasco the next day. Photos were taken to help decipher the code
which was unlike anything Professor Broderick had seen before.
A chance meeting with Maxine Johnston, also a Professor at MTSU unlocked the
mystery. Johnston, who has studied the unique non-verbal languages of birds
immediately recognized the scratchings as that of a chicken. Matching the
detail of the drawing against a database of chicken scratch language
characters revealed this message: 'd kuk faim di by flaim'. Johnston
interprets this as a clear threat against American Idol winner David Cook.
"Although the spelling is unconventional in human terms, this is clearly the
result of an angry chicken targeting Mr. Cook threatening death by fire,"
said Johnston. Based on the size of the drawings, Broderick and Johnston
agree that it is most likely the work of the renegade Kurcam which has been
spotted in recent weeks in bordering states.
Why the Kurca is targeting David Cook no one knows for sure, but all agree
that the threat is real. As for future cave exploration, Pasco says he's
taking a break. "That giant chicken is out there somewhere, and he's pissed
off about something," Pasco said. "I love caves but I'm not ready to die
checking them out."
